Its been just 15 odd days after my surgery and the festive season is in full bloom. There’s a gush of excitement that runs down our bodies during this time… i forgot all the pain and got charged up to make the most of it , after all it’s Samarth’s first Diwali!

We visited some of our friends and relatives… had a nice lunch with my brothers who had come specially for this festive season from Mumbai and Pune. Samarth just completed 3 and half months and wore a beautiful dhoti kurta (traditional Indian dress) gifted by his grand-parents (nana-nani). He was supremely excited about this day and urged to stand (of-course with our support)…. he had so much fun with all of us throughout the day and didn’t get tired till 1 am.

Everyone suggested us to put ear-plugs in his ears so that he doesn’t get scared of the noise (due to crackers and fireworks)… we tried doing that, but the cotton plugs would fall off his tiny ears after a couple of minutes only. While we thought he would not be getting any noise with plugs on, he was enjoying all the different sounds, colors, lights around him with surprise and excitement.

His first diwali will always be memorable to us for the sheer reason that Sam enjoyed it to the fullest and had a real ‘blast’ !!!
